The Adopter agrees to the following

Adopter will keep this cat as long as he or she lives unless unforeseen circumstances prevent this. Adopter will make provisions (both written and oral) for the care and ownership of the cat should the adopter become incapacitated or deceased. If it becomes necessary for the adopter to give up this cat, Adopter will contact Kerry's Cats, who has the first option to take the cat back or assist in finding another home for the adopted cat(*)

Adopter agrees that any cat/kitten adopted from Kerry's Cats is not for resale or breeding. Adopter also agrees that any cat/kitten adopted from Kerry's Cats is to remain with the adopter. The adopted cat/kitten will never be given away/leased/sold to any animal shelter, pet store, research facility/laboratory, OR ABANDONED(*)

Adopter understands they are adopting is primarily an INDOOR ONLY cat, unless otherwise agreed to prior to adoption. Adopter will not let the adopted cat run loose outdoors, with the exception of the adopted cat being enclosed in a carrier, on a lead or leash, or in a fully enclosed outdoor run. The Adopter understands that these restrictions are for the adopted cat’s protection, safety, and general well being.(*)

Kerry's Cats makes all attempts to ensure that the adopted cat is healthy and sound unless an ongoing medical condition is present and disclosed at the time of the adoption. If such a condition is disclosed and the Adopter elects to take the cat/kitten then Kerry's Cats accepts no liability for the adopted cat/kitten(*)

Adopter will take the adopted cat/kitten to a licensed veterinarian of their choice within 72 hour after taking possession of the adopted cat. Should any undisclosed medical conditions be discovered within the 72 hour time frame, Kerry's Cats requests immediate notification. The Adopter has the option of returning the adopted cat at no cost to Kerry's Cats. Adopter will pay all costs associated with returning the cat/kitten to Kerry's Cats and Kerry's Cats will not be liable for any costs incurred by the adopter. Should the Adopter elect to keep the adopted cat, the Adopter retains all liability in caring/treating for the adopted cat.(*)

Under NO circumstances, will the cat be DE-clawed. DE-clawing requires the surgical amputation of the first digit of a cat’s toes. It is an extremely painful procedure that can result in unwanted behavior such as biting, aggression or refusal to use the litter box.(*)

Adopter is responsible for and agrees to the continuation of all age appropriate vaccinations, as directed by their Veterinarian, as well as monthly heart-worm and flea prevention(*)

If not already done so at the time of adoption, the pet must be spayed / neutered after the age of 6 months old . (Unless a Veterinarian recommends otherwise due to a medical condition) and proof must be sent to Kerry's Cats.(*)

By signing this form, the Adopter understands that Kerry's Cats places cats from unknown backgrounds and assumes all risks of being bitten, scratched, injured or frightened by cats/kittens in association with Kerry's Cats. Adopter agrees that Kerry's Cats is not liable to the Adopter for any injuries, damages, liabilities, losses, or expenses whatsoever which the Adopter might suffer in connection adopting a cat/kitten from Kerry's Cats(*)

Adopter understands that in the event he/she does not follow the terms of this agreement or adopter
neglects or abuses the cat, Kerry's Cats or another animal authority has the right to take possession of
the pet. The adopter agrees to pay Kerry's Cats any and all expenses , including court costs and
reasonable attorney’s fees, in enforcing the terms and provisions of this agreement.

We, the undersigned consider this document to be legally binding. No changes, alterations,
deletions or modifications of this adoption agreement will be effective unless in writing and
signed by both Adopter and an agent of Kerry's Cats.
